Kunamokst

The Coastal Inspirations mural mosaic was unveiled at the Galiano Inn at the end of June and I was delighted to be there among the other artists and in the company of the Lieutenant Governor of BC, Steven Point. It was a wonderful celebration of diversity and togetherness among the participants and, especially, in the 231-panel mosaic of original art in many media including glass, fabric, paint, and other materials. The finished image depicts a mother Orca and her baby. I have to thank Pam Smyth for the wonderful write-up and photo she did for the Oceanside Star June 24th issue.
You really have to go to Galiano to see it some time in the next two years while it hangs there before being moved to a permanent home!
